Mooch News November 2008
More projects to add to the portfolio for you after a busy period of travelling and changes:
Hammers Sculpture
Check our latest Projects/Spaces installation in West Ham, a memorial sculpture to the Thames Ironworks recreation ground and its workers who became the footballers for West Ham United. This steel sculpture ties in the rich history of the site and marks the shipping tragedy which gave the Memorial Recreation Ground its name.
Guardian Newspaper Forest
Also in Project/Spaces a delightful event from last year for the Guardian Newspaper. A forest made by visitors to the Innocent Village Fete in Regents Park. A joy from start to finish!
Mapping NaSA
This commission in Projects/Objects took Mooch to Hull. This public art project found an innovative way to reach the residents of the Newington and St Andrews area of West Hull and reveal their thoughts and views.
As we move towards 2009 Mooch is developing projects with Network Rail designing signs for the nature reserve at Hither Green station in South London and working with Transport for London on public realm concepts for traffic masterplans in North London. We look forward to yet another brilliant year of creative challenges and even richer experiences and would like to thank all our supporters over the year - its been hectic but worth it!
